Hunting and Fishing
Firstly, I like fishing cachting eels smoking them up putting salt on them thats my dinner. Hauling in fish its pretty hard to haul in 5kg. What I don't like is trying to keep the eels on the spear. Secondly I like putting on my ridgeline clothes and going camoflage. Its hard to shoot hares because they run pretty fast.So My uncle hemi shots them and I hold the spotlight. I think it is fun to wander around in the bush to try and find pigs and goats. But I don't like getting scratches from the gorse I think it is fun to be out side and this is why I love hunting and fishing.
BOOK WEEK
We have book week to...celebrate books and it makes people think that it is fun to read books.
During the week I remembered some books from our island project to dress up.
On parade day we paraded around town in our costumes to show our community how we celebrate.
We thank the teachers for letting us dress up, Becky for choosing the subject of islands and giving the books to us.
Matariki is a joyful time.
At the beach is the best place to see.
The stars are gone in July.

Turangawaewae Festival
On friday we had to stay after school so Matua Arana and Whaea Anna could do our tamoko's and get dressed and ready. We had to line up and wait for the flag people to finish. As soon as they finished we had to go out and perform. We started off we sung a few songs and all through them I was shaking then it came to E te Kokara and it was my turn to speak as I walked up to the microphone I took a deep breath and then it was all over and we were walking back to class and it was all finished and i had a great time for the rest of the day.

WAIKOROPUPU SPRINGS
Waikoropupu springs is a beautiful place to take your family on a wonderful walk where you can go sightseeing and for birdwatching. It has a lovely track with beautiful birds to see and hear while you walk through the Rata forest along a creek that comes from the beautiful Takaka hill. I hope you enjoy it as there is no other place on earth like it! I really recommend it for an experience of a life time.
Now here are some facts and a little story. Did you know that Waikoropupu springs means bubbling waters? Did you know It is estimated that 14,000 litres of water are produced per second approximately enough to fill 40 bathtubs. Waikoropupu springs is the legendary home of the female taniwha Huriawa one of the three main Taniwha of Aotearoa. She is a diver of land and sea, travelling deep beneath the earth to clear blocked waterways. She is brave and wise and believed to still rest in the waters of Waikoropupu , when she is not away attending to business.

About being Beyonce: Well for starters my name is Kyla and this is mthings like her family which should be number 1. And of course us her fans whoop whoop.
So put your hands up if you like her. Put your hands up now! Everybody's hands should be up because she is so AWESOME she is my favorite singer as well as Bruno Marz oh yeah. To meet people like Katy perry, Maria carey, Jessie J and Alica keys plus to sing with people like B.O.B, Timberland and the girls I just said .
I guess everybody has an idea of my speech. Now I would like everybody to think for a moment about who you would be ...Ummmmmm, this was all that popped into my mind Beyonce Beyonce Katy perry Katy perry opps I mean Beyonce Beyonce. She may not be your favorite singer but she is mine. It would be cool to be famous for singing and dancing with dance move's that either blast your audience into laughter or blast them into space. Singing songs that are catchy which continues the love of your fans to belive in being you one day like myself right here.
Also saying all my single laides all my single ladies put your hands up and getting a boy to put your love on top umm dreamer of the future maybe. So again this is a speech about beyonce not boys.
Ok if I was her the worst part would be traveling for hours and hours kilometer by kilometer but I guess the beautiful scenery. With pretty amazing waterfalls blue rivers well thats what I see when I travel . Cool things like getting to stay in 5 star luxory hotels with chocolates on the pillows. Just to stand in front of all those fans that adore you so much I guess she would not get stage fright.
Beyonce has so much wonderful songs like love on top,crazy in love, sweet dreams, telephone and so on and so on this was a nice talk . Never ever stop beliving in your dreams cause you never know you might be the next big thing and this was my speech.
Holiday recount.
In the holidays I went to Reefton as I had planned. As a fun activity I went to work with my aunty Ahnaka. She works at the Reefton i-site, the mawheraiti pub as a cook, and sometimes helps on the farm my uncle and her manage. So on a thursday of the first week I went to work. When we walk in we have to turn on 27 switches which control the heating, lights, power, water and security cameras and turn three off.To start off we turn the computers and put the money in the till. Next we open the doors put the signs out and serve the customers. Then Robert terry came in. "Oh no! He is the mad man of Reefton. He has called Parliament and threatened to blow it up. This is a problem I said talking to my aunty. I don't like when he comes because he always comes an asks too many questions. Like " what does humor mean and why do you call the judge your honor".
