 I love rugby

MY INTEREST

I love playing rugby. Rugby is my most best interest. I played rugby for Mot united in 2011.Karl was my coach for the year and my team  name was called Mot United under 8ts.

I played all of the positions on the field and I scored lots of trys.My team came fifth over all in the rugby competition. At the end of the year at prize giving I was player of the year. I got a gold trophy with a bronze medal and a certificate. M y dad was really proud of me.
I like to tackle people but I dont like to be tackled. One time  I caught the ball and I ran up the field and three diffrent people were hanging off me and then a huge big chubby guy came and bowled me over. I was really naked after that I thought that I got knocked out. I cant wait until rugby starts back up again so I can get put into a team and play again .

WE HAVE BOOK WEEK TO:

We have Book Week to celebrate books and dress up in Book characters . I think that Book Week helps to encourage them to read more like me I love reading.

On Book Week we always have a parade and we show everyone all of our costumes. The school shows the community first then we go to the Kindy Garden.

I would like to thank Whaea Becky for setting up Book Week for the school I really love it. We are all so lucky to have a librarian like Becky

 Matariki
Matariki  are seven stars. A time to celebrate with your whanau. Time to feast and a time to share. And the start of a maori new year. Really good time to get together with your whanau. In the olden days they'd used Matariki as a navigational guide. Kumara is a good food to eat on matariki. It determines whether or not that it'll be a good growing season.
The Olympics
Rowing Basics:
In rowing there are six different types of events. Some of the events are the single sculls, pair double sculls and light weight sculls.
In women's rowing they  cannot weigh more than 57 KG. In men's they can weigh up to 72.5 KG.
All the races must be completed on still water because if the water was rough it would be extremely hard to compete and their arms would get really sore.
 Rowing Facts
Sculls means to row with two Oars and Sweep means to row with one oar. All races are 2000 metres long and the boat that crosses the finishing line first is the winner.
Rowing first took place in Paris in the 1900 and has been an event largely watched by people around the world. Did you know that rowing is the only sport where you actually cross the line backwards.  In this year's Olympics games New Zealand has done really well winning 1 bronze medal and  3 gold medals in different rowing events.
HOLIDAY RECOUNT
On the first Tuesday of the holidays i had butterflys in my tummy. I was really excited because i was going to meet the Tasman Makos for the very first time. There was ment to be two people from each school around the district but one school pulled out so 2 names got pulled out again. Selina and Tagan. Tagan and Selina were very lucky. Tagan came with us. The trip over to Nelson was log and boring. I just couldn't wait. "Hurry up dad" I said " were going to miss it" Man dad drives like a koro i told myself in my head. Finally we arived at the rugby stadium. I saw the makos practicing. This was like the best day of my life. When we went inside we saw the masarging teacher who showed us were to sit. My sister Selina took alot of Photos of the Makos practicing. They had finished there practise. You guesed it. it was time to massage a Mako. Everyone got to choose there Mako I didn't know who to choose. " Choose this fulla " said dad . So I choose him. My player was Jeremy su'a. Jeremy Su'a was so nice he said to me that I was the best massarging kid in the hole massarging programme . We had finished massarging them and they were kind enough to give us signatures. I got like ten signatures and every time I kept on asking the same person. we got a goodie bag and inside them was string spray, Cereal and a poster. Then it was time to go. We were ent to be having pizza with them but they had to be somewere.  So we hoped inthe car and had another boring long drive home. FRIDAY THE 16 On Thursday the 16 it was kapahaka fun day and Parklands school was the hosts for the 2 days. On the first day the Whanau welcomed the 15 schools from around the Tasman. Matua Aaron started off with with a speech talking about thanking mother earth and our 2 maunga pukeone and Tu Ao-wharepapa. Then The Whanau sang a wonderful song, Ka Tahi Ti as a himene for Matua Aaron. Finally it was time to perform. Whaea Tania had said to the adults they had to have a drink to whakanoa. The Whanau had to move some seats to watch the performance. All the adults had finished and the hall was jam packed with people. The kapahaka fun day had started and Parklands middle syndicate was the first performance of the day but sadly the whanau had to leave to get ready for our turn on stage for our amazing performance.  We had got back and saw some boys getting their chest painted.  They looked meanage!!! The hole Whanau had paua costumes and some make up on. The girls were busy looking at them selves and putting make up on and the boys were just relaxing watching the other boys getting there chest painted. Every time the boys wanted to look in the mirror to see if there chess looks good they couldn't because every toilet mirror was blocked by the girls.

MOTUEKA REC CENTRE

The Motueka rec center is my most favourite thing to do in Motueka. I like it because it has the cinemas, a skating ring and a gym. The skating ring is my most favourite thing to do there.

  1. Fitness - Keep active
  2. Raise money
  3. Rabbit Island
  4. Have fun

My street race was really fun until sarah and alana overtook me. I felt really annoyed because I was coming first then they over took me. I was really tired when I was up to the marae and i started walking. But I think I did pretty well. At the finish line it was so tense because lora was trying to sprint past me but i won because she ran into the wrong shoot. I felt so good at the end because I got a nice cold juicie.
